Desirable Skills and Qualifications
A Centre Support Adviser is responsible for supporting field colleagues in developing Pearson business across a group of S! chools or Colleges and supporting the curriculum development d! ecisions made by Schools, LAs or other stakeholder groups as appropriate.
The Centre Support Adviser works closely with their field colleagues â" the Curriculum Support Consultants, the Curriculum Development Managers and Pearson Consultants.
To support the Secondary or FE field teams to achieve revenue targets and develop our market share through excellent customer service & curriculum guidance, by offering qualifications and the Pearson product surround which exceeds expectation and meets the needs of centre learners.
Main Accountabilities:
- To provide advice, guidance and support to centres through direct contact and by follow on activity from field activity
- To achieve agreed revenue targets against all of the key business priorities and against defined campaigns and products
- To work proactively with field colleagues to provide coordinated sales activities to centres
- To provide effective feedback o! n the customer experience
- To compile and collate key data requirements to support revenue targets
- To support field staff in business development for designated centres or campaigns.
- To participate in a sales field event once per academic term.
- To manage a caseload of Pearson centres.
- To produce a weekly management report identifying weekly activities and sales.
Business Development
Working with the field team to promote the Pearson proposition to defined centres using agreed strategies which maintain and support existing business and secure defined business growth.
Collate information for region and identify key sectors/centres for potential business growth.
Provide accurate data to support sales targets â" where appropriate
Caseload Management
Working with a centre allocation to promote the Pearson proposition to defined centres using agree! d strategies which maintain and support existing business and secure de! fined business growth.
- Manage an allocated caseload of Pearson centres to develop and secure defined business growth achieving sales targets.
- Advise and support new and existing centres by helping them to develop centre curriculum for their learners via the most appropriate communication channel
- Provide management information on the allocated centre caseload to assist UK Education sales strategies and market intelligence
Respond positively to all customer enquiries and ensure outcomes are delivered within agreed service levels. Ensure necessary product knowledge of the Pearson proposition is maintained to ensure a high quality of customer services to centres.
Liaison
Facilitate the flow of information between the Schools and Colleges field teams and other departments within Pearson and with Pearsonâs external customers as necessary.
Other activities as agreed with your line! manager.
Measures of Success:
- Adherence to quality and standards procedures
- The appropriate flow of materials, leads and information to regional field staff and to centres
- The achievement of agreed regional revenue targets
- Feedback from internal and external customers
- Production of a detailed monthly report using an agreed template
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
A hard working and highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organisation skills ideally with a customer service or sales background. The post holder will need to work as equally alone or as part of a team. The individual will need to work creatively and resolve problems effectively.

Essential:
- Microsoft Office
- Experience of having worked in a customer service or sales role for at least two years
- Telephone Sales experience
- An understanding of key education initiatives in the UK
- Knowledge and understanding of Pearson product and qualification portfolio
