My client is a rapidly expanding business with enthusiastic investors, an enviable reputation and strong growth plans. As part of these plans, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, ! enthusiastic and ambitious qualified accountant to a new role working closely with the senior management team. Ultimately, the individual who takes the position on will be the head of a sizeable finance team, but initially the challenge will be a little more mundane, ensuring that the funding that has been granted is allocated correctly and that systems and procedures are set up to handle all purchases and supplier payments. Thereafter, it will be down to the individual to develop reporting structures and monthly accounting packs, in accordance with both internal and external requirements. It is also expected that, although the role will start off requiring only two or three days per week, it will quickly develop to a full time position. Given that, they are looking for a qualified accountant with a strong track record in monthly and annual reporting, seeking the responsibility of working without the safety net of a finance director above them.
