1st Executive are currently recruiting for a top FTSE organisation. Due to recent expansion, they are now up-skilling the! ir purchasing team and as a result, are seeking to recruit a dynamic Senior Buyer to work in their Online Business Unit in Manchester in a relatively Greenfield Procurement function, where procurement has only just been mandated internally.

As such, my client expects the right candidate to be able to significantly advance their purchasing career internally after two years.

THE ROLE

• The successful candidate will be working on a range of different Purchasing projects across indirect spend, but mainly focusing on the IT Portfolio, specifically Software, Support Services and Consultancy.
• This is a global procurement function and you will be responsible for implementing and developing the category strategy in partnership with the internal stakeholders.
• The jobholder will also be expected to develop strong! relationships with key suppliers as well as Director and C-level stakeholders
• Negotiation, drafting and management of contracts to reduce the total cost of ownership while improving service delivery and leveraging Group spend for the benefit of the online Business Unit.

REQUIREMENTS

• Although specific industry experience is not important, you will have a demonstrable depth of procurement experience (in particular covering bespoke software and Professional Services)
• Good working knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies.
• Independent, dynamic and ambitious individual with excellent communication skills, seeking to develop your procurement career within a top FTSE organisation.
• A proactive self-starter with excellent networking skills as well as strong Stakeholder and Supplier Relationship Management skills.
• Ideally qualified to degree level, with MCIPS or working towards CIPS

Salary: Up to £50k + Car Allowance, Bonus, Pension, Medical, etc.
