The Multilingual Ecommerce Copywriter will be part of the UX team, which plays an integral role within the business, constantly looking ! to improve the customer journey and optimise the user experience.
As a product copywriter you'll be ensuring the descriptions of our products attract customers to the website through search engines, and importantly give our customers the confidence to buy our products.
This role will focus primarily on the localisation of our French language site, translating and proof reading copy for a variety of areas across the site. You will be liaising with our translation agencies and the role will require strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively manage work flow processes to ensure copy is delivered in a timely manner.
On a daily basis the Multilingual Copywriter will work alongside our Ecommerce Copywriter, working as a team to bring projects to fruition across all site instances, supporting each other and researching new ideas in your field. On occasion the Copywriter’s language skills may also be required to assist with communicating ! with French third parties over the phone or as part of head of! fice visits.
The Person
The highest standard of French reading, writing and oral skills will be required and therefore we are looking for someone who is a native French speaker or has a degree (or equivalent) in French. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of French culture, fashion and the relevant age range to ensure we engage with our French customers in the most appropriate and engaging manner possible.
Further modern languages will be a major asset and will provide the opportunity to support with the development of additional foreign language sites as boohoo develop internationally.
You will also need:
Experience of ecommerce copywriting (minimum of 12 months)
Experience of working across and localising multiple foreign language sites.
SEO and HTML knowledge and experience.
Excellent and accurate writing skills.
Accurate translation skills.
To be able to work independe! ntly and reach tight deadlines.
