About The Role:
You will be making outbound sales calls to a number of different sized businesses, with a view to booking sales appointments for the sales team. The role will be a mixture of phone and admin based work. You will research sectors to match specific projects and call to introduce the company and their product range. You will update client details on the database and send out suitable information by post or email and follow up on any information sent. Where appropriate, you will look to arrange appointments for the sales team to ! meet and close the sales. You will support the team with lead ! generation and work closely with the marketing department in this area. You will use Word and Excel to create mail merges and update spread sheets with information for the database. You will also send out letters and emails to customers. The role does not involve working to high pressure targets and is about finding out the right information and developing relationships and understanding of company requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
You will have previous experience in a similar telemarketing or telesales role, ideally involving arranging appointments for members of a sales team. Experience of promoting a technical product would be desirable but not essential. You will be comfortable using Word and Excel and ideally be able to use mail merge and work with csv files in Excel although this is not essential. You will be confident, friendly and able to build relationships. You will be determined and persuasive.
