Planning
The Planning team in Manchester provides a full range of planning services in the North West and across the UK, working with eminent private and public sector Clients. We continue to be involved in some of the most high profile planning and regeneration projects in the regio! n.
As well as being part of the wider Deloitte busine! ss, we are integrated within a team of property professionals offering a full range of valuation, transaction, development and construction advisory expertise. The team also benefits from strong connections with the wider national Deloitte Planning teams in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow.
Assistant Planner
We are offering a unique opportunity for an ambitious and motivated student planner to further their professional education and development within a leading private-sector regional planning & development team.
You will become a member of a high-profile team working on a number of the UK’s most active and dynamic projects. You will work closely with Graduates, Planning Surveyors and Planning Managers and will assist with a range of planning and cross-service line instructions within retail, commercial, residential and leisure sectors.
This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience the culture, values and working envir! onment of a truly multi-disciplinary consultancy whilst gaining work experience at a globally renowned “Big 4†professional services firm.
Contract Duration: 12 months starting from a start date to be agreed, ideally in June, July or August 2013
Requirements
Studying an undergraduate degree - ideally an RTPI accredited degree in a relevant Planning course.
Strong A-level results or equivalent qualifications (please provide a breakdown of your A Level grades and subjects (or equivalent) including grades and subjects on your application).
Evidence of an understanding of technical matters across the planning discipline and enthusiasm and interest in the property market.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Able to act independently and as part of a close-knit team.
Strong administrative skills, including report writing and time management.
Valid UK driving licence (desirable).
