Role Client-facing brownfield specialist, with experience throughout project lifecycle General geoenvironmental and geotechnical input to projects including soil, groundwater and gas risk assessment and development of remediation strategies Interface with multi-disciplinary project teams , particularly infrastructure Supervision and interpretation of ground investigations Managing the production of drawings and reports and preparing co-ordinating geoenvironmental and enabling works specifications Supervising and co-ordinating the work of others and co-ordinating work with engineers of other disciplines Attending meetings and communicating with clients to establish their needs Mana! ging project team to ensure production of deliverables to agre! ed timelines and within budget Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team
Requirements BSc or BEng in related science based subject, ideally supplemented by an MSc in a relevant area, preferably Environmental Engineering Proven track record in the geoenvironmental engineering across a range of projects Be able to design and deliver solutions to manage geoenvironmental risks on major and/or complex projects Able to understand the balance of engineering priorities on differing projects Able to quickly develop successful client relationships Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) Able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness
Desirable: Experience of planning, managing, supervising and interpreting ground investigations Experience of undertaking soil, water and gas risk assessments using nationally recognised methodologies Experience of supporting development cost appraisals
