PURPOSE
Reporting to the Engineering Director within the Core Master Systems Integration Team to carry out the role accountabilities set out below, in respect of EMC, SAN, VMWARE, CISCO UCS (not essential) and application integration.
The X program is now moving from design into delivery phases and a small multidisciplinary team is being established to lead the delivery of the central infrastructure components by X subcontractors. The successful applicant will be a highly technical project engineer with an established track record of delivery in major programs within aggressive commercial environments (such as transport, banking or retail). Role Accountabilities:
The Engineering Director acts as the Senior Resident Engineer for X. The following items are seen as critical deliverables in this regard and your role is to manage them within a scope of systems delegated to you by the Engineering Director:
Execution of design and delivery program reviews
Scope dispute resolution (with subcontractors and Engineer)
Investigation of non-compliances identified by the Systems Assurance activity.
Investigation of escalated failures during systems testing activities.
Management and review of technical responses to contract scope changes.
To maintain oversight of x deployments into the datacenters
To e! nsure that x subcontractors are building the correct (hardware & software) configurations within the core production systems to facilitate the deployment of system endpoints within the buildings being constructed on site.
To ensure that the software platforms delivered by x subcontractors are successfully deployed onto the core infrastructure systems.
