What we would love to see in your portfolio are great ideas and an ability to hit the right tone in a variety of styles and approaches. It goes without saying that you'll also need excellent mac skills and that you're happy working as part of a fast paced, busy team. You should be flexible in your approach and confident to work with contacts both internally within the agency and externally when required. You should be comfortable and experienced in sharing your ideas with others, taking suggestions on board and also mentoring more junior members of the team.

  • Manage the marketing team's holiday and absence
  • Support recruitment needs of the education marketing team
  • Create requisitions and administer expenses on behalf of the Head of education marketing.
  • Respond to general education marketing enquiries from internal parties, other national societies and customers.
  • To undertake any other relevant duties when required by Head of Education Marketing
As our Marketing Projects Assistant you will have proven experience of working in an administration support role at a senior level and will be used to dealing directly with senior internal and external stakeholders. You will possess strong planning skills and have experience in organising off site residential meetings and the set up of UK wide travel and accommodation for colleagues. The successful applicant will be proficient across Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, poss! essing strong knowledge of financial processes and automated financial ! systems. Teleconferencing and a good understanding of IT Communications and hardware issues will be key as will your ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the business. Aside from this you will act with a high degree of discretion, have effective time management and organisation skills and will be able to prioritize and remain calm under pressure. About ADXBA
ADXBA are digital communication specialists, with our primary focus being on digital sign! age. We offer a number of services including consultation, installation, management and content creation.
The last 18 months has seen a number of large format screen and video wall installations across a major Airports in the UK, and we are further developing our in-house management applications.
The Role
ADXBA are looking for a Software Developer with a high level of C#.NET, Java (specifically Android) and PHP knowledge to work from our Manchester(Failsworth) office. Don’t worry if you don’t have years of commercial experience - we are looking for someone with passion and determination, and who ultimately ‘makes it happen’.
This is a varied role ranging from Mobile Apps, to dynamic websites and desktop software to control digital screens. The successful candidate should enjoy working both in a team and individually, within our friendly and flexible work environment. They should be good at working towards deadlines and have the ability to follow spec! ified guidelines.
Duties / Responsibilities
Build and ! maintain core applications using various technologies (incl. C#.NET/Java/PHP/HTML).
Ability to integrate MySQL database with web/mobile applications.
To assist in the specification and planning of projects and overall software development strategy.
To assist in the authoring of application manuals for end users.
To Monitor web server and site technical performance.
Bug testing existing and newly developed applications.
To deal with clients either on the phone, in meetings or by email.

Key Skills
Good knowledge of C#.NET / Java, (or other .NET language)
Previous PHP programming experience.
Previous Android experience.
Preferably working knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver
Strong database knowledge, specifically MySQL.
Ability to work with HTML / CSS.
Knowledge of working with Javascript / AJAX libraries is highly desirable.
A flexible attitude to work and projects.
Good communication skills and attention to deta! il.
The ability to prioritise and manage own tasks / workflow [Multitasking desirable].

Prior sector knowledge or experience! is not required and although we will need some new board members who have previous board or committee experience, it is not a prerequisite for every new board member. We will provide a full induction programme for all new board members which will include sector-specific information.

All board members empathise with, and demonstrate commitment to, Great Places’ vision and values, as well as the principles and practices of collective board responsibility and decision making. As a regional organisation, we would expect applicants to have local knowledge and interest in our current area of operations. You might live or work in, or have another connection with, any of these areas. Up to two board members may live outside Great Places’ area of operation.

Much of board business is done at formal meetings â€" but the role of a board member involves on-going responsibilities and input. Every board member must contribute, and add value, in and out of meetings. ! The Board currently meets ten times a year. Most board members are appointed to a committee and there are also occasional, project-specific, time-limited task and finish groups. For board members this (excluding the front-loaded induction) is expected to require the equivalent of approximately 24 days per annum, including preparation for meetings and attendance at board residential strategy days. However, other than formal meetings and events, much of this time is fairly flexible and is ‘in your own time’. Board members receive remuneration, based on sector guidelines: for 2013/14 this is £3,250 (£5,500 from 1 April 2014). Board remuneration is taxable and subject to class 1 national insurance contributions. It is not pensionable.
