This is an exciting opportunity to become the Head of Engagement & Development within the substantial Western Region of Royal Mail Groups Operations, which c
onsists of 22200 employees and 1100 mangers.
Reporting too, and working closely with the Regional HR Director, you will lead a team of 4 HR professionals to increase the engagement and development of colleague across the geography.
The successful candidates will become a key member of the Senior HR team and will play a major role in the huge changes currently underway within Royal Mail Group. Your responsibilities will include driving forward the culture change in operations, in turn accelerating the planned transformational programme, as well as championing the regions diversity agenda. In addition to this, you will
lead the approach on talent, by identifying talented individuals both internally and externally, and ensure that development plans are in place.
You will co! -ordinate and exploit the benefits of the IPSOS engagement too! l, whilst leading the planning and deployment of region wide development activities. Along with playing a lead role in the people development pillar of our World Class Mail programme, you will improve internal communications and up skill our operational managers to allow them to better engage the frontline work force.
The Head of Engagement and Development will be part of the HR senior leadership team in the Geography and will be expected to contribute across all HR issues.
Possessing a CIPD (or equivalent) qualification, you will have a strong HR background, with a proven track record in a large, complex organisation. You will have significant experience of successful engagement activity, particularly in supporting the delivery of large scale change. It is essential that you have the interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels, along with the ability to influence and challenge where necessary. A self-starter, displaying tenacity and resilience, you ! will excel in coaching, training and presenting, with the skills to motivate and lead a team.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: C£65 - £70K (Dependant on Experience) plus apotential 25% bonus, Full Family Health Care, a £6,800 car allowance, a Long Term Incentive Plan and 30 days annual leave.
