An exciting opportunity has now come about for Combat Stress to launch an innovative and dynamic alcohol service within the field of Veteran care. We ! are now looking for enthusiastic individuals to become part of this service; the first of these roles is the Community Outreach Alcohol Team Manager.
The service will provide much needed relief for those suffering with problematic alcohol use that compromises their ability to engage with the help they need for their mental health challenges.
You will provide management and leadership of the Community Alcohol Outreach Teams. Key to this role is recruiting, developing and supporting an effective workforce to carry out and effectively manage this new service. You will ensure that all clinical practice is evidenced based and recovery focused allowing you to build care pathways within a ‘whole systems’ model of treatment, and you will build key working relationships with alcohol and mental health providers throughout the UK to promote the programme and the work of Combat Stress.
You will be a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) and have proven managem! ent experience within an alcohol and/or substance misuse servi! ce and/or mental health setting. You will also need to have experience in monitoring service delivery and constructing influential reporting mechanisms to present to key internal and external stakeholders.
Through comprehensive treatment plans and intensive programmes Combat Stress have been able to alleviate the suffering of thousands of ex-Service men and women and allow them to slot back into civilian life by helping them regain a sense of control, pursue their ambitions and careers, and spend quality time with their friends and family.
The role has the option to be based in London, Manchester or Birmingham. You will need to be mobile and spend a proportionate amount of time at either the London location or both of the other locations during the working week.
