This opportunity will allow you to develop existing Explorer Scout units in the area and develop a team mentality between the units to provide better Scouting to more young people. A scouting background and knowledge are not essential though the ability to communicate, provide vision whilst motivating and leading adults is. The District Explorer Scout Manager is a senior volunteer within the district, managing the different Explorer Units in the area. There are no fixed hours, though the commitment required will usually be of the order of 5-10 hours per week, at times to suit the individual. So what will you be doing? Well, you will be working with a number of Explorer Units and adult volunteers to ensure that there is a balanced programme delivered across the district and to manage the operation of Explo! rer Scout provision across the district. We are open to anyone! from all faiths, backgrounds and abilities and welcome everyone. Why volunteer for us?
