The Background
A leading FMCG organisation who supply mainly in! to the UK market are seeking a buyer based in the Manchester offices to assist them with their continued growth. The business are part of a larger group with an international presence and which generates turnover in excess of $2 billion.
The Role
You will meet/exceed the internal and external supplier requirements. Deliver year on year commercial benefit to the business whilst ensuring a professional and ethical approach. Set and deliver the strategic direction for the department in line with the purchasing strategy for the business.
You will look for new an innovative ways to generate new revenue streams through alternative product listings, consolidation of customer spends etc.
You
You will have a strong background within procurement ideally within an FMCG or finished goods market. You will be looking to develop a career within procurement. Ideally you will have exposure to managing new contracts and customer terms.
