THE ROLE
Our client is currently looking for an IT Technician to provide technical support to their 150 branches across the UK and to their main office based in Manchester. Candidates must be flexible about working hours.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As IT Technician you will be responsible for:

• Installation & Supporting IT Systems: -
• Corporate systems
• Telecommunications network (data and voice)
• Hardware (servers, pc’s, laptops, thin client devices and other peripheral devices)
• Microsoft Office applications for desktop users
• Assisting in the management, control and co-ordination of the “Service Desk” software system by assigning priorities, responding to queries and identifying resolutions in conjunction with all Corporate and supplier resources.
• Provide technical support for the I.T. Strategy.
• Implementing procedures for security control of Corporate asse! ts e.g. computer hardware register, anti-virus policies
Provide basic level of training as necessary for all Corporate applications
• All other duties and responsibilities as directed by management, which will specifically include support and cover during absence to the other members of a small team covering the complete spectrum of an integrated support and operations environment

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

To be successful in the role of IT Technician, you need:

• Microsoft Certified Professional
• Strong knowledge of VMware, Microsoft Server 2008, MS Exchange 2010, MS Office 2010, MSSQL
• Confident with maintaining Windows 7 based systems
• Experience or supporting users via remote software
• Working knowledge of corporate networks (LAN/WAN)
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics and BACS payment systems is desirable
• A full UK driving licence.

For the role of IT Technician you will receive:

• Salary of up to! £22,500 per annum depending on experience
