An Immediate and high profile Category Manager position has arisen at one of the UK's leading Construction business with a reputation for excellence. Our client is actively seeking to app! oint a strong Category Manager on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract basis initially with a view to going permanent to work closely with all depots and group functions alike.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, forward thinking business; the Category Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of purchasing strategies across a wide range of key categories of spend. This will include the management of a supply base to ensure that current and forthcoming business requirements are met and working with stakeholders across the business in the delivery of purchasing and supply chain improvement initiatives.
The role will require a high degree of flexibility to be able to deliver effective strategies across both direct and indirect areas of spend as well as in support of specific projects.
Previous purchasing experience in similar position with indirect and direct purchasing categories would be advantageous.
