This role has come about because of this expansion. Yo! u will be responsible for the planning, monitoring and building of the company’s range selection in order to develop their collections and offering across price points. This will include launching new sub brands to differentiate the company’s product offering.
Buyer/Mechandiser - Ladies Fashion â€" The Role:
- The candidate will be required to identify gaps and opportunities within the market, monitor trading patterns and respond with action accordingly, ensure pricing is competitive, and liaise with the online merchandising/ buying, design teams on a daily basis.
- Maintaining, organizing and preparing a comprehensive library of appropriate data referring to the season’s collection, its seller and no sellers and using this to maximise sales and minimise risk.
- Reviewing current, pending orders from buying team and suggesting changes/ quantity increase/ decrease in response to current product sales.
- Working closely wi! th the Design Team on future collections and ensuring all prod! uct categories have sufficient lines each season and that the team are developing into the right categories.
- Work with merchandising to analyse all aspects of bestsellers and slow sellers (for example, the bestselling price points, colours or styles) and using this to aid future decisions.
- Research and creation of the Competitor Analysis Report. Combining this with a SWOT analysis in order to hand over constructive feedback through to Buying/ Design team.
- Competitor price analysis on a monthly basis across all categories and working with buying team to ensure our ranges stay competitive.
- A firm understanding of ladies fast fashion.
