CAD TechnicianJob Description: An opportunity has arisen to join our close-knit Civil Engineering team in Manchester, as a CAD Technician. This role provides significant opportunities for development, including the! chance to study towards academic and/or professional qualifications and (if desired) to train towards becoming an Engineer. Working as part of a small team and under the guidance of more experienced staff, you will produce CAD drawings for a variety of civil engineering projects, in the UK and internationally. Requirements / Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will be qualified to at least ONC / HNC level (Civil Engineering Graduates will also be considered for this post), and will have 3-4 years' CAD design experience, primarily in civil infrastructure.
You should have solid IT skills, which will encompass both specialist CAD software (ideally AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office. In addition, you should be keen to continue to develop your skills, and a desire to learn about all aspects of civil infrastructure (ie Windes, Cut / fill, highways design etc). Experience of 3D CAD and/or Windes would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
