An exciting opportunity for a General Manager position has become available.
Café Rouge is the UK’s premier French café brand with a broad all day offering of classic French dishes and wine. The first restaurant opened in South West London in 1989 and over the past 24 years Café Rouge has become the most successful and best recognised French restaurant group in the country. In anticipation of our 25th birthday Café Rouge has been going through a Revolution! The design has been enhanced, celebrating the Canal Saint-Martin area of Paris and moving the look from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. The menu has been developed to focus on quality quintessentially French dishes that are value for money and served on quality small wares. The service is defined by looking at the customer! journey with a service for our customer and not to our custom! er.
We are looking for a passionate and successful General Manager who understands the branded restaurant business and the importance of a strong food and service focus.
The key responsibilities are to generate sales and deliver profit targets by leading, inspiring and developing your team to help us achieve our mission ‘To Become Britain’s Best Restaurant Business’. This can only be achieved through consistently delivering the Café Rouge experience for our customers with the highest standard of service, quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record in:
Delighting customers: You are passionate about our food and service, delivering excellent experiences to every customer, pu! tting the customer first in all you do and able to prove that you are delighting our customers.
Developing people: You are an inspirational leader with a genuine passion for recruiting the right people & building a strong team by focusing on quality training and team development. You have strong communication and influencing skills. You are able to coach your team to deliver excellent performance.
Driving standards: You have an eye for detail and the ability to drive consistent brand standards. You have the ability to manage short term tactical and longer term action plans to achieve business KPI’s. You have consistent excellence in Food, Health and Safety and are able to show 5 star EHO ratings within your current business.
Delivering results: You have the drive and energy to see your business succeed. You are financially focused with an ability to develop the business using problem solving skills in line with budgetary con! trol. You can demonstrate achievement in driving businesses forward in ! a balanced way with measurable excellent results.
