1. Dealing with a mixture of Trade and Domestic Customers at the count! er and over the telephone.
2. Passing information to other members of the team to ensure customers are dealt with appropriately and get what they need.
3. Checking off and signing for deliveries.
4. Pulling orders from order file and putting them into the right tray to be picked.
5. Collecting orders for goods going out
6. Ensuring both the shop floor and storage areas are kept in an organised fashion, helping the rest of the team with 'Housekeeping'
7. Moving deliveries onto storage shelves and understanding where the goods are stored.
8. Re-organise according to instructions
9. Input data/stock onto website
10. Helping out with other duties of a similar level of responsibility

S N D Electrical is a small family business, the atmosphere at the shop is a friendly one and it is vital that the apprentice is happy to 'muck in' and contribute to the team.
Qualifications Required
3x A-D GCSE grades or equivalent
Personal Qualities
'get up and go' attitude is a must
Must be willing to do both customer facing/telephone work as well as more physical work which will involve moving, locating and packing stock.

From the 1st October 2013 a National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices has been introduced for young people aged 16-18 and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. The new rate is per hour. The new NMW applies to time working plus time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by the age category above will be entitled to the NMW appropriate to their age.
