Fixed Term until 31 March 2014
• Provide effective and e! fficient support for all learning and organisational development
• Assist in the delivery of a professional service
• Manage learning and development events from nomination to post evaluation
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers and other interested parties
We are the largest fire and rescue service outside of London, looking after a population of 2.6 million people. Our purpose is to protect and improve the quality of life of the people in Greater Manchester.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Learning and Development Team for a Learning and Development Assistant.

Y! ou should be:
• Experienced in working within an L&D, HR or OD environment
• Able to balance your day to day coordination with your development objectives
• Proactive in your approach to organising your workload, looking ahead as well as day to day
• Able to deal with customers and suppliers in a confident, professional and enthusiastic manner
• Fully competent to manage events using a variety of computer based systems
• Experienced working with a variety of computer based systems
• Able to priorities workloads and work to deadlines
• Aware of relevant legislation, good practice and current thinking
