For complete informations about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. The Company: Our client is a leading engineering solutions provider for blue-chip companies in the UK. The Role: The client is looking for a number of Instrument Engi! neers at a variety of Senior Levels including, Senior, Principal and Chief Instrument Engineers. The Instrument Engineers will be responsible for all discipline technical input to projects or proposals. Makes independent technical decisions associated with the project.
Responsible for control of project activities in accordance with the Company and project quality requirements. Organises discipline staff allocated to projects and is responsible for allocation of tasks to staff. Ensure all work is carried out in a manner that will produce a safe and operable design. The Instrument Engineer will ensure all applicable national and international codes, company and client standards and procedures are applied correctly to the project.
Will be responsible for carrying out individual project or proposal tasks. Responsible for carrying out these tasks efficiently and in accordance with the Company and project quality requirements. Assist the Manager of EC&I in the ! identification and recommendation of CAE / CAD Systems. The In! strument Engineer will be responsible for efficiency and productivity of staff allocated to projects and control of man-hours allocated to projects.
Also responsible for engineering within estimated capital equipment expenditure on projects. The Instrument Engineer will be responsible for carrying out discipline activities in a timely manner within defined project programmes. Responsible for the integration of discipline engineering and design activities. Provide project reports, resource forecasts, variation claims and change order reports to projects and the Manager of EC&I.
Foster good working relationships and liaison with client's engineers and vendors. Assist in the monitoring and reporting of performance of staff, recruiting and development of staff. Responsible for carrying out discipline development activities including preparation of procedures and standards as directed by the Manager of EC&I. The Instrument Engineer will provide training, inform! ation or instruction and to give feedback.
To set objectives, assist colleagues and subordinates in achieving the objectives, conduct performance reviews and issue to line managers. Offer advice and support to colleagues and subordinates on development needs taking into account work activities, learning ability and circumstances. Desirable Skills / Qualifications: ⢠Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Applied Science or equivalent. ⢠HNC / HND or equivalent and extensive demonstrable experience ⢠Broad expert knowledge of technology and working practices of the discipline in a wide range of industries and clients.
- To be a good written and verbal communicator, able to mix and communicate at the same level with clients, company and vendor's staff. ⢠Able to effectively plan project work over several projects simultaneously and establish and balance priorities and allocate resources. The Instrument Engineer will ideally have nuclear experience! or Hydrocarbons and chemical experience.
