The role ! requires the successful candidate to have an excellent knowledge of our customers’ business area in order to fully support our customers, therefore very well suited to anyone currently working within the industry.
My client will provide full in-house training and support on the application to ensure you are knowledgeable and comfortable in assisting our customers.
As a Customer Support Consultant, you will be responsible for providing application support to external customers and assisting them with our web-based software via the telephone or by email.
The role involves answering application queries in line with Skills sector business knowledge, diagnosing issues and testing new releases. With training you will progress to amending and writing Microsoft SQL reports and supporting our Welfare to Work and Youth Services case management software.
Taking ownership of users' issues, you will ensure that a high level of customer service is de! livered at all times. Responding to enquires in an efficient a! nd friendly manner, you will help to resolve practical issues and software problems and refer escalated issues to 3rd line support personnel.
This is the ideal opportunity for a customer-focused professional with a keen interested in IT, looking to expand your knowledge.
Experience or interest with databases or internal support of Learner Management systems, any track record of basic SQL queries or an IT qualification would be ideal, but not essential.

All of our software is web based (since 2002) and incorporates the latest technology including Dashboard functionality and mobile platforms for smart working.
To be considered, you must have one or more of the followi! ng:
Experience within the Skills Funding Agency arena
Experience in a customer facing/customer service role
Experience with basic SQL queries
An IT qualification
As an IT Application Support Analyst, you should have the ability and desire to rapidly learn and pick up new systems and skills. Methodical and analytical, you must have a keen eye for detail, superb problem solving abilities and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction at all times. The ability to manage and prioritise your workload effectively is also key.
In return you will receive a salary of £18,000 - £24,000 DOE.
