Excellent opportunity for a Senior Android developer to join ! a well established and award winning organisation with offices just outside Manchester City Centre. They are specialists within ecommerce and mobile development and have a huge global presence that they are continuing to build on. They are bringing Android (Java) development in-house and are looking for someone who can help setup and lead the team. The team will initially be small but is likely to grow quickly.

The Android team will be responsible for building new apps as well as maintaining existing applications for all devices running Android. The team will work alongside the existing award winning mobile web and iOS development teams. They are looking for a talented senior Android developer with a passion for mobile development who keeps up to date with technologies and best practice.

Along with the right technical skills the successful senior android developer will be passionate about working in mobile development and take pride in their work. The deve! loper will demonstrate a desire to learn new technologies and ! be willing to share knowledge and ideas within the team, helping to build the team around you.

Technical skills and Experience:

• Java/C/C# a minimum of five years commercial experience.
• Android Development a minimum of two years commercial experience.
• A portfolio of at least one demonstrable, working mobile app
• App Store submission process.
• Understanding of OOP concepts.
• Source Control
• Agile/Scrum

Desirable skills include

• Blackberry/iOS Development
• Push Notifications, Google Analytics, Flurry, Facebook SDK.
• Test Driven Development/Unit Testing
• REST
• Exposure to different programming languages and approaches
