Brief Description:
The Finance function is responsible for establishing Network Railâs cash requirements through the planning process, securing the income requirements through the regulatory process and funding the Companyâs borrowing requirements through the financial markets. It controls expenditure and provides clear and accurate management information. Providing value for money from suppliers through contracts and procurement the Finance function also mitigates the Companyâs exposure to financial risk. In addition the fu! nction upholds sound financial control and regulation to meet ! all external statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements that are expected of a major listed UK company.
Main accountabilities are to assist the Senior Management Accountant and Management Accountant in all finance works relating to the capex expenditure delivered by LNW Network Operations and includes the following duties:
§ F4 Reds & Ambers Commentary
§ Reconciliations including RHQ projects, E&P and other disciplines
§ Implementation of Track Logs & Change Controls
§ Running and checking trackers
§ Rollover analysis
§ Checking Panel Minutes and chasing up Authorities in OP
§ Monitoring IUTâs & Volumes
§ Project close outs
§ Liaising with Sponsors
§ OTL Exceptions
§ Other ad-hoc duties as required
Essential:
§ Knowledge of accounting standards
§ Commitment to working towards an accountancy qualification
§ Advanced Excel skills
Desirable:
§ Ex! perience in management accounting role
§ Financial management systems experience
