We are seeking to recruit a Project Manager based in the Manchester Translational Research Centre for Primary Care Patient Safety (MATRiC-PCPS). You will be responsible for supporting the Principal Investigator/De! puty Director in the day-to-day running of MATRiC-PCPS.
The main focus of the role is to manage the Centre covering Greater Manchester and a sub-site in Nottingham, and to implement its research strategy. This will include the management of a diverse research team; the providion of guidance for the development of current and future strategies: and the implementation of rigorous project/prpgramme controls to ensure the delivery of a complex high profile centre.
You will be required to manage the MATRiC-PCPS research team and guide the development and strategies for MATRiC by providing expertise in project management. This challenging role will include developing detailed project plans, managing and co-ordinating complex tasks, and facilitating communication between the multiple stakeholders (including clinicians, academics, patients, health informaticians). Skill and dexterity in this role are essential to ensure the projects are delivered on time and to scope, along! with exceptional communications skills and innovation to find! the solutions to new challenges in health research.
You will have significant experience of: project management and research grant administration; leading and managing teams; budget planning; and have a proven ability to act independently. A degree or equivalent level of education or training is required, along with a formal qualification in project management (such as Prince2) or significant directly relevant experience.
